Above & Beyond Teaching Announces New Partnership with Teacher Stories Podcast

Above & Beyond Teaching is excited to announce a new partnership with Teacher Stories, the podcast hosted by educator and researcher Ken Futernick that brings the voices of exceptional teachers to a broader public audience. Together, we are building something we believe the education conversation has long needed: a dedicated platform for the stories that statistics alone can never tell.

Teacher Stories has spent years documenting what extraordinary teaching looks like from the inside, through in-depth conversations with educators who have made a lasting difference in students' lives. Above & Beyond Teaching has spent more than two decades recognizing and supporting those same educators through the Carlston Outstanding Teachers of America Award and the Teacher Leadership Academy. This partnership brings those two bodies of work together.

We are just getting started, and we have a lot to share in the months ahead. As a first step, we are hosting two invitation-only convenings this August in Sacramento and Los Angeles, where educators, policymakers, journalists, funders, and community leaders will come together for an honest conversation about what great teaching makes possible.

If you are interested in learning more about the partnership or the upcoming events, we would love to hear from you.
